Butterflies are Living Art

Nature InspirationA few years ago my wife and I went to visit the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids in May, and shot videos of the Butterfly exhibit that is held there annually. If you have ever tried to photograph or video butterflies, I can tell you it is not as easy as it looks. No sooner than you focus the camera, they can be gone. However, we managed with a lot of attempts to capture some cool videos and photos.

Butterflies are one of those artistic creations in nature that makes you wonder where they came from.  Unlike so many things on this earth, they float around and seem foreign to any environment they are in.  Their presence gives one pause, and it is hard not to admire one as it flutters on by.  Such a thing of beauty can interrupt even the most intense conversations when they arrive on the scene.  It is hard not to stop and say ‘Look a butterfly’ and perhaps remember chasing one as a child through a field.
