Driving through small communities like Tekonsha, Michigan always reminds me of the classic community spirit of America’s past. This small community boasts it is a ‘Small village with a big Heart’ on its signs as you enter. The village population has remained in the low 700’s with a slight increase between the 2000 and 2010 census. A notable fact of this communities history is that it is the birthplace of the ‘Father of Aerial Photography’, a man named Talbert Abrams.
As I was driving through Tekonsha the other day, I had to stop and take a photo of this beautiful home. In the backdrop is the water tower, which bears the name of the village. To me this is a touch of Americana, and classic.
